Thomas Winkel, MA, LPC, is a Program Consultant/Veteran Liaison with the Arizona Coalition for Military Families, a nationally-recognized public/private partnership. He is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and the first Gulf War and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Thomas was part of the team that designed and implemented the Arizona Coalition for Military Families and the Arizona National Guard program focused on prevention, intervention and postvention of stress and trauma among military members and their families.
Dena Hallman is the Soldier & Family Assistance Program Manager for the US Army Recruiting Battalion headquartered in Phoenix, AZ. As the director of quality of life programs, she provides morale, welfare and well-being support for 350+ Active Duty Soldiers and their families throughout AZ, NM & El Paso, TX. She is both the Unit Victim Advocate and the Domestic Violence Prevention Officer for the battalion. Dena holds a Masters in Counseling degree and a B.S. in Business Administration. She's a member of the Operation Family Support Speaker's Bureau and provides briefings on reintegration and military-family topics to community agencies across the state!
