Laura JaenishLPC
Director of Outpatient Services
Laura Jaenish earned her Bachelor of Science in sociology from the University of Utah and her Master of Science in counseling from the University of Phoenix. She is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Arizona and a National Certified Counselor. As the director of outpatient services, Jaenish leads a team of therapists trained to treat both mental health and substance abuse issues. As a therapist, she provides adult group services as well as individual, couples and family counseling. Jaenish is trained in EMDR, trauma-informed care and has advanced training in motivational interviewing. She specializes in adult dual diagnoses, working particularly with those who have underlying developmental trauma.

Menaj ShamseeLPC
Outpatient Therapist
Menaj Shamsee is a licensed professional counselor in the State of Arizona and a National Certified Counselor. Since 2006, she has worked with children, adolescents and adults in behavioral health and high acuity settings. Shamsee’s experience encompasses treatment of mental health symptoms including anxiety, depression, trauma and addiction, as well as treating dual diagnosis patients. She is trained in EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and dealing with domestic violence. Shamsee believes everyone has the capacity to change when given the right kind of support.

Douglas E. BrownLAC, LISAC

Douglas E. Brown has his master’s in both professional counseling and addiction counseling. He provides individual, group and family counseling services to treat co-occurring disorders and chemical dependency. Brown specializes in substance abuse, addiction, depression, anxiety and LGBTQ-specific issues. Through motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT), family systems and solution-focused approaches, Brown is able to address mental health and chemical dependency issues with a client-centered approach.

Tina StoffelMSC/LAC
Outpatient Therapist
A native to Arizona, Tina Stoffel attended the University of Arizona for her undergraduate degree in family studies and human development. She earned her Master of Science in community counseling from University of Phoenix and started her career in social work in 2000, working with various populations and community needs. She began practicing in 2012, when she became a licensed associate counselor (LAC). In her role as outpatient therapist, Stoffel facilitates a women’s outpatient group designed to meet their unique needs. She creates a safe and inviting environment for openness to foster growth through vulnerability, and she uses various therapeutic interventions from areas such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, expressive arts therapy and Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). Stoffel’s primary areas of focus are co-occurring disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, women’s issues and substance abuse.

Nicolette ReLCSW, CBT
SEP Program Therapist
Nicolette Re is a licensed social worker who has been practicing psychotherapy for decades. Her experience in treating chronic stress and trauma ranges from combat trauma, military sexual assault, vicarious trauma and domestic violence to developmental traumas and childhood sexual and physical abuse. Re’s expertise extends beyond her education, as she holds certifications and has experience working with, and often combining the techniques of, several somatic therapies. She offers a comprehensive and robust approach to the treatment and resolution of traumatic experience. Re provides the following therapeutic services: family therapy, EMDR and somatic group therapy as well as group therapy for first responders, active-duty military and veterans. She specializes in depression, anxiety, PTSD and developmental, betrayal and shock traumas.

Alexandra PreslerPA-C
Physician Assistant
Alexandra Presler completed her master’s in physician assistant studies from Northern Arizona University’s Phoenix Biomedical Campus. She is a board-certified physician assistant (PA) and has pursued continuing medical education in psychiatry and addiction medicine. Presler has a background in student volunteering, free medical clinics and working as a PA serving Maricopa County’s homeless population.
