Gerhard Gomez MD

Staff Psychiatrist

Dr. Gerhard Gomez attended medical school at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico before finishing his medical training at New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. Originally born in Tucson, Arizona, he returned home to complete his residency at Banner University of Arizona Medical Center where he served as chief resident. As a diplomate with Board certification in adult psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Gomez focuses on the underserved population and addressing all aspects of adult mental health. He also provides Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) to those that meet the criteria.

Currently on staff at St. Luke’s Behavioral Health and Valley Hospital, Dr. Gomez has experience in addiction psychiatry and forensic psychiatry, as well as extensive experience in emergency psychiatry. A member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Arizona Psychiatric Society, he is proficient in English, Spanish and conversational Italian.
