Jose Reyes MD
Dr. Reyes completed his psychiatry residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York where he served as a chief resident during fourth year of training. Dr. Reyes is a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and neurology. He is also certified by the board of Addiction medicine. Being double boarded has allowed him to work in many different settings, including the VA. He has worked as a consultant psychiatrist in New York and in the Honor Health system here in Phoenix. Dr. Reyes mainly treats adults (with or without addiction) and enjoys individualizing his cases to improve outcomes as he has tremendous knowledge in psychopharmacology.
As member of the Neuroscience Education Institute, Dr. Reyes enjoys teaching and applying state of the art psychopharmacological approaches in treating psychiatric disorders.
He is also proficient in detoxifying patients from all available illicit and prescribed substances.
Dr Reyes has had the opportunity to work in the notorious jail of Rikers Island in New York, amongst a few other jail systems. He has also helped organize operations in community mental health clinics in Pennsylvania. While he has practiced and is licensed in few states, Dr Reyes considers Phoenix his home now for 11 years.
